Young actor James Rolleston has just finished starring in the hit New Zealand feature film “BOY” and all he wants to do now is learn to surf. But when the beaches fail to deliver the big waves he craves, James hits the road with his friend Matty (an ex-surf champion and movie stuntman) to discover the great New Zealand past-time of dive-bombing and helps organize the first ever World Bombing Championship! Action, adventure, comedy and a helpings of fish & chips feature in this nostalgic tribute to the Kiwi summer and childhood.

Shot with a GH2 and a Voitlander f0.95 over four days. A hurricane was blowing in all week so locations were very limited and weather windows were often seconds at a time.

Very quick edit of a 30 miniute shoot in Arnhemland. Shot on a hacked GH2, handheld with a Voitlander f0.95 25mm(50mm equivalent) lens. Audio recorded using a combination of a Sennheiser 416P into an H4n and the Rode camera mic on the GH2.
